Our annual Module Development Workshop held virtually on Thursday, October 17th, brought together the internal Module Development Team and our Medical Authors and Editors from across the country. As in previous years, the workshop provided a fruitful and fun opportunity for networking, skill building, and sharing of challenges, ideas, and insights.
Director, Dr. Haider Saeed kicked off the afternoon with a review of last year’s successes and a rundown of current work in branding and social media, member newsletter, and module format and distribution.
Updates were provided by Senior Editor Dr. Liz Shaw on CQI projects and Module Coordinator Fairuz Karim on EDI initiatives. In a skill-building exercise, participants took a hand at creating and editing Info points.
Finally, Residency Director Dr. Peter Tzakas gave a thought-provoking presentation on Generative AI and its potential impact not only on the delivery of primary care but also on FMPE module development.
As usual, the workshop was an enjoyable and enlightening afternoon.
