We are pleased to announce the launch of FMPE’s new 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, Grounded in Mission, Shaping the Future.
This plan sets a clear and focused direction for the years ahead, positioning FMPE to respond to a rapidly evolving healthcare environment while continuing to support meaningful, practice-based learning across Canada.
Our priorities centre on strengthening long-term organizational sustainability, expanding national participation in the Residency Practice-Based Learning Program, and enhancing our connection with members through targeted and effective marketing and communications. We are also embedding a culture of continuous quality improvement across all programs, guided by the Plan–Do–Study–Act (PDSA) approach.
Together, these priorities will support a more accessible, responsive, and impactful learning experience—one that reflects the realities of modern practice and the needs of physicians, residents, and allied healthcare professionals.
For more than 30 years, FMPE has supported clinicians in translating evidence into practice through collaboration and reflection. This new strategic plan builds on that foundation while looking firmly ahead—ensuring we continue to evolve, innovate, and support excellence in patient care.
