The Residency PBLP Scholarship Award recognizes Family Medicine Residents for their contributions to small-group learning through research, quality improvement, and educational program development.
Projects that align with key goals—including embedding evidence-based educational principles, fostering peer collaboration, and encouraging reflective learning—are especially encouraged. Examples of past projects include leveraging social media to enhance learning, developing tools for practice-based learning, and implementing small-group learning approaches.
Award Details
The top project will receive a $500 cash prize, while the top three projects will earn a 1-year free membership to the Practice-Based Learning Program following graduation.
Eligibility & Judging Criteria
Applicants must be Family Medicine Residents currently enrolled in a Canadian Family Medicine Residency or Enhanced Skills training program. Projects will be evaluated based on:
- Originality and innovation
- Contribution to scholarship in small-group learning
- Assessment methods and project impact
