Supporting Residents and Programs: New CFPC Mapped Modules & Practice-Based Learning Narratives

Over the last few months, two new features have been added to our Residency Program.

New CFPC Mapped Modules

A new feature of our program is that each of our modules is now mapped to the CFPC Assessment Objectives for Certification in Family Medicine, specifically covering some of the 105 priority key topics.

This mapping has been retroactively completed for the last five years, and moving forward, every new module released will continue to be mapped to these objectives. This approach provides residents with a dual benefit: They can focus on modules that address their identified knowledge gaps and make strategic choices based on the CFPC assessment objectives of the modules.

This alignment will be especially valuable as they prepare for the Family Medicine Certification Exam, ensuring their learning is both comprehensive and targeted.

Practice-Based Learning Narratives

Another new feature for residency programs in our Residency Practice-Based Learning Program is the provision of narratives that can be used for accreditation documentation by residency programs across Canada

All programs utilizing our modules can take these narratives and modify them to suit their specific needs and accreditation requirements. Should programs require additional support in documenting how they use our modules, we encourage them to reach out to us for assistance.

Our team is happy to help ensure that programs can effectively integrate and showcase the use of our modules in their accreditation documentation.
