What is a roundtable?
This is a critical step near the beginning of the module development process. The writing team and three additional primary care clinicians from across the country engage in a two-hour teleconference to verify the practice gaps and objectives for the module, discuss and refine the draft cases, and provide suggestions for critical information to be included in the module.
What are the benefits to you?
Participants consistently find these to be a great learning experience, and a nice opportunity to meet colleagues from across Canada. There is a $250 stipend to partly compensate you for your time. As well, you can claim two hours of MainPro+ study credits under the “non-certified” category for the roundtable, plus any time that you spend reading the background articles under the same category (usually 2–3 articles, about ½ to 1 hour).
If you are interested or want to know more, please contact Jennie Thode at thode@mcmaster.ca. We welcome interest from members from across the country.
