The Practice-Based Learning Program (PBLP) is a continuing medical education program that offers a flexible, engaging way for members to enhance their clinical practice.
Today, the PBLP has over 6,000 members, including family physicians, residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other primary care clinicians. More than 750 established small groups meet regularly to discuss practice gaps and integrate evidence-based learning into their work. Approximately 25% of certified family physicians in Canada participate in the program, with 60% of members enrolled for six years or more, and nearly 40% for over 10 years.
Whether you prefer learning on your own, in a small group, or a combination of both, PBLP adapts to your needs. Centered around evidence-based modules and supported by reflection tools, this program fosters real practice change. Join a dynamic community of peers or explore at your own pace—either way, you’ll experience the benefits of a curriculum designed by family physicians for family physicians, ensuring your continuing medical education is both relevant and impactful.
