We’re excited to share a significant update to the Residency PBLP Group Reflection Tool, a cornerstone of our program’s commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
What’s Changing?
- Digital Access: The reflection tool is now submitted online, streamlining the process for facilitators and trainees to input the information online and not have to e-mail FMPE a PDF version.
- Mandatory Participation: To maintain active facilitator/trainer status, completion of reflection tools is now required after each session and each facilitator should have at least one uploaded every 3 years.
- Annual Reporting: Completion rates will be tracked by site/university and shared with programs to ensure accountability and progress.
Key Requirements for Facilitators
- Submit at least one group resident reflection tool on members.fmpe.org every three years to retain your active role.
- Session leaders (residents or faculty) must complete the tool post-session to capture insights and drive improvement.
Why It Matters
Reflection is the bridge between experience and growth. By formalizing this process, we empower our community to learn deliberately, teach effectively, and elevate patient care.
New Perk: Facilitator Certificates
As a thank-you for your contributions, you can now request an annual certificate that lists your facilitated sessions and that you are a trained FMPE facilitator. This validates your role as an FMPE facilitator—perfect for teaching dossiers!
