Recent modules (e.g., Parkinsonism and Parkinson Disease, and Dementia: Along the Trajectory) have discussed management issues related to dementia. Have you wanted to learn more about how home care approaches in particular can improve the lives of people with dementia?
The Canadian Home Care Association’s Project ECHO is an innovative virtual model that combines expert-led presentations with interactive case-based learning to empower healthcare professionals with practical knowledge and solutions regarding home care. It offers three specialized streams of activity:
- Integrated Seniors Care (current focus: co-morbidity, dementia, and cognitive impairments),
- Home-Based Palliative Care (current focus: last days and hours), and
- Personal Care Providers (current focus: enhancing mental health skills for home-based personal care).
Participation is free and open to anyone – visit https://cdnhomecare.ca/chca-project-echo/ to learn more and register!
