The Group Reflection Tool is Now Live on the Members Online portal
This tool is instrumental in tracking your group’s progress, including participation and completion rates. We encourage all groups to utilize this resource to facilitate regular, structured reflections. Remember, the heart of PBLP lies in consistent, facilitated group discussions that drive meaningful practice change with reflection to promote lifelong learning.
In the first 4 months of transitioning to our online platform, here are the number of submitted Group Practice Reflection. It is important to hit submit and not save as that could be part of the lower numbers at some institutions or those not showing up here.

Updated Supplemental Exam Questions
In alignment with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), we are transitioning to a new format for supplemental exam questions for resident exam practice. These will now include multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and short-menu questions directly tied to our module content. We emphasize that our modules are not solely about medical knowledge but also about fostering lifelong learning and a commitment to practice improvement within your small groups. Residents are reminded that the use of these resources is at their discretion. While these practice questions can help strengthen core medical knowledge, they do not replace the broader educational principles of the Practice-Based Learning Program (PBLP), such as fostering a community of learners, encouraging reflection, and implementing ongoing practice changes to better support patient care. These principles are best attained with ongoing use of our modules in small group discussions and with the inclusion of the reflection tools.
New Online Interactive Component for Individual Learning
We’re expanding the Residency PBLP experience with an online interactive platform where learners can work through modules individually. Some of the features are: 1) note-taking, 2) highlighting, 3) compatibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, 4) centrally located printable summaries of your notes and highlights. To start using this platform, log in to Members Online (https://members.fmpe.org/) and click on “My Modules” to see the Interactive Module tab.
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing you with the tools and resources needed to thrive in your training and beyond. As always, we encourage you to engage actively, reflect deeply, and collaborate with your peers to turn insights into action.
